Sometime back in Aug 2018 I came across a little YouTube video of Penn Jillette speaking about his weight loss and plugging his book. I logged into my library account and put a hold on the book right away,
I read Penn Jillette’s book Presto!: How I Made Over 100 Pounds Disappear and Other Magical Tales. I read the book in a few days and could relate as I had tried dieting many times in the past with only temporary success. What Penn was writing made sense.
Next I reached out to Ray Cronise who actually walked Penn Jillette through his weight loss and asked if he would consider coaching me through the process, First he replied saying ” This works. It’s always food. You’re not broken!” and shared a link to his book Plant-Based Nutrition.
After I read the book I reached out to him again feeling that I would need some help on my journey and because the book does not speak about the actual weight loss phase. His response this time was that “he takes on a limited amount of clients, most at this point from invitations of existing clients”, so I was on my own.
I tried finding information about this specific diet online. All I knew about it was the 2 weeks of eating only potatoes. I knew there had to be more but I could not find it. After a few days of searching I found one source with good information on the next phase from someone who was coached by Ray. https://nutritionalyeast.quora.com I highly recommend reading through his whole blog.
